If you've been reading my blog, you might notice that I use coconut oil in almost every recipe. Ever since I decided to give up processed oils, I've been using coconut oil for everything from baking to sauteing to making candy (fudge recipe coming soon). I also use it for deodorant and toothpaste and lip balm and well...all sorts of body and skin care products. You don't even have to make anything. Just slather this stuff on your skin. Or eat it with a spoon...if you're into that.
So, if you've never used coconut oil or even if you do and you just need some more, Tropical Traditions has offered to give a quart size jar to one lucky person. So while I'm slowly working on getting out some new posts, I want one of you to win this coconut oil! This was the first time I've tried Tropical Tradition's Gold Label Virgin Coconut Oil. The taste is much different than any I've ever tasted. It's good quality oil (read more about their quality in a minute). I've been ordering from Tropical Traditions for awhile now and I love their honey, extra virgin olive oil, coconut flakes/flour and a number of products (they also have meat and eggs and household products). They also have a refined (but high quality) coconut oil for those of you that don't enjoy the coconut taste. To be honest, in cooking, I don't notice the taste...but I know some people that pick up on it in certain foods. So get in on this giveaway and then go check out Tropical Traditions for more great stuff.
One lucky winner (in the USA or Canada) will receive one quart sized jar (32oz) of Tropical Traditions Gold Label Organic Coconut Oil!
Tropical Traditions also carries other varieties of affordable high quality coconut oil. Visit their website to check on current sales, to learn about the many uses of coconut oil, and to read about all the advantages of buying coconut oil online. Since the FDA does not want us to discuss the health benefits of coconut oil on a page where it is being sold or given away, here is the best website to read about the health benefits of coconut oil.

ReplyDeleteHaha, same here, Meg! Good luck to you and welcome!
DeleteMy last entry was #100, so I'm pretty sure that's lucky! Would so love to win this! Thanks for the contest!
ReplyDeleteHow are you doing these days? I am off and on the Paleo wagon. Didn't make it through my last Whole 30 but definitely going to try again. Unexpected bills this month have kept me from renewing my Crossfit membership this month too : ( But I'm getting back at it in another week!
Still loving your blog! I'm off to read your new profile.
Definitely lucky, Kat ;-)
DeleteI love the Whole30, but I think sometimes it's best to make the decision to NOT do it twice or three times or longer or whatever. Now that's not to say there is anything wrong with doing it again (when you're ready), but we have to decide whether it causes us too much stress at a certain point, you know. I'm sure you are making great progress regardless :) If you ever need support, shoot me a message.
Thanks for asking about me and for reading! I'm realizing I need more than paleo...and by that I mean gut healing. So I'm kind of at a point of trying to heal without becoming too obsessed with what I should/shouldn't eat. So far, so good :)
