Giveaway! Win the new Paderno 4-blade Vegetable Spiral Slicer!

Giveaway! Win the new Paderno 4-blade Vegetable Spiral Slicer!

If you've seen my last few posts, you know I'm loving using the spiralizer to make vegetable noodles. For those of us that have to be gluten-free or choose to be, making noodles out of veggies is fun and gives you a wide variety of exciting recipes to try. I waited months and months before I took the plunge and finally purchased a spiralizer. (Mine turned out to be a counterfeit, so I had to get a new one...) So, I'm very excited to have the opportunity to give one away to one of you!

While I own the tri-blade spiralizer, Paderno World Cuisine has offered to give their new 4-blade vegetable spiral slicer away to one of my readers. If you look at the picture above, you can see the new "angel hair" blade which is perfect for thinner vegetables like carrots.

Tropical Traditions Coconut Cream Concentrate! [Giveaway Ended]

Giveaway! Tropical Traditions Coconut Cream Concentrate

Did you see the Andes mint recipe I posted using coconut butter (aka coconut cream concentrate)? Have you ever tried coconut butter? If you haven't (or just need a new jar), I wanted you guys to have a chance to try it out and Tropical Traditions offered to give a jar to one of you! So what is this coconut cream concentrate I speak of?

Coconut cream concentrate is also known as coconut butter or coconut manna. If you see those terms, it's all the same. According to Tropical Traditions' website, coconut cream concentrate:

Giveaway: Pure Indian Foods PrimalFat Coconut Ghee [Ended]

Haaaave you met Ghee?

According to the Pure Indian Foods site:

Ghee is a healthy, shelf-stable alternative to plain butter or other cooking oils. Indian ghee is used as an ingredient in traditional dishes, as an ideal fat for frying, and even in Ayurvedic medicine!

Golden colored Ghee is prepared by melting and simmering unsalted butter until all the water evaporates and the milk solids settle at the bottom. The remaining butter oil is very stable, giving it a high smoke point which makes it an excellent choice to use for frying and sautéing and it can be stored without refrigeration for several months. Ghee is also known as Indian Clarified Butter, Seafood Butter, Drawn Butter, Butter Oil, Ghee Butter or Anhydrous Milk Fat (AMF). In India and other South Asian countries, it is also known as Desi Ghee, Pure Ghee, Asli Ghee or Ghritam. Ghee is a dairy product and as such it is gluten-free.

If you've followed me for awhile, you know that I love ghee. After I stopped consuming dairy, my eczema and my acne began to clear up. While now, I do still consume some grass-fed butter, I generally stick to a dairy free diet. Ghee is often used in place of butter for those with a dairy intolerance. You can read more about dairy intolerance and ghee here.

[Ended] Giveaway: Tropical Traditions Raw Honey

Giveaway: Tropical Traditions Organic Raw Honey

I'm sure you guys know by now that I love Tropical Traditions. Ever since I started using their coconut flour, flakes, and other coconut products, I'm hooked. Plus, they are very reasonably priced (and right now, you can get free shipping!). Here's the deal, I love their honey. Love it. A little obsessed, actually. Truthfully, I can only purchase it when it's on sale, but it's by far the best honey I've ever tasted. While Tropical Traditions did send me a jar to review for this giveaway, I have purchased their honey before and all opinions are my own.

[Ended] Giveaway: Gallon of Tropical Traditions Gold Label Coconut Oil

Don't you want to make some five minute freezer fudge?
Tropical Traditions coconut oil giveaway

The reason this fudge is so easy, doesn't involve cooking, and can be safely tucked away in your freezer (so you don't devour it in one day) is because of the coconut oil. Coconut oil becomes solid around 76 degrees (F) so it works perfectly to turn almond butter (or cocoa powder) into a delicious creamy fudge.

If you want to make some of this fudge or maybe you just love coconut oil, especially Tropical Traditions' coconut oil, as much as I do, then enter this giveaway. If you don't want to wait to find out if you won this gallon (yes, a gallon!) of Gold Label Virgin Coconut Oil, then you can take advantage of the sale going on right now: 2 gallons for $99!

[Ended] Giveaway! Tropical Traditions Gold Label Coconut Oil

If you've been reading my blog, you might notice that I use coconut oil in almost every recipe. Ever since I decided to give up processed oils, I've been using coconut oil for everything from baking to sauteing to making candy (fudge recipe coming soon). I also use it for deodorant and toothpaste and lip balm and well...all sorts of body and skin care products. You don't even have to make anything. Just slather this stuff on your skin. Or eat it with a spoon...if you're into that.
